2018 Rewardstyle Conference Fashion ReCap

A week or so ago Sally and I had the chance to attend the Rewardstyle Conference at the newly renovated, gorgeous Hotel Crescent Court in Dallas, which they hold for the top 200 bloggers in their network of over 15,000. As always, it was an honor to go and so fun to have Sally along for a girls work weekend. We had amazing time but definitely missed Jessica, Faryn and Chelsie who also helped us get there with their hard work! Although looks like a lot of partying, we spent the days meeting with brands and attending classroom sessions to help make the blog better.

We put way too much time into thinking about our outfits (that’s what happens when you feel the heat because everyone else at the conference is a personal style blogger). And that being the case, although we were the only people that probably noticed them, we wanted to share everything from our shoes to our Spanx (okay my Spanx).

Here’s a photo of me in my messy room before heading to the airport to meet Sally. For years my go-to airport outfit has always been a jacket or duster over comfortable ripped jeans. You should know I sort of live like a frat boy based on the dust and mess (this is about as clean as it gets) but that’s life as a working mom living with 3 boys and a Goldendoodle.

Sally and I have different airport styles, as in I was there two hours early and she was the last person to board I’m pretty sure. Salt and Pepper, I tell ya, but both ways worked! Plus our actual on the plane styles are really similar because we both wanted a glass of wine ASAP and chatted the whole way, much to the dismay of the dude in our row I’m sure.

Not to toot my own horn by I’m obsessed with the dress I wore to the Supergoop pool party! It’s SO me. I was going for Margot Robbe attending the pool party on Wolf of Wallstreet, because I am obsessed with her in that movie. Let it be known that wasn’t what anyone else was thinking of when they got dressed. Also, I ain’t gonna lie, I require two pairs of body shapers these days (a big thank you to Valentino and wine), so I linked to the ones I swear by which are actually not Spanx.

Sally looked super Parisian chic for our meetings at Rewardstyle, I loved her look. You may remember her top from Tinsley Mortimer and her shoes from every Bravoleb on earth! Since she’s newer to the blogging industry, we have a major joke that all bloggers look down and to the left, and I think she’s got it down pat.

I love me a puff sleeve and a pussy bow, so this is how I do Texas girly! Sometimes I get a little Tinsley inspo in me, and this is the result! This jacket is a major favorite of mine.

I love Australian brands and cutout sleeves, so this dress was so me! Plus it’s on sale making it even more me. It’s totally perfect for Spring, and I’ve gotten so much use out of these Manolos which I scored on sale and provided a perfect blue contrast for my normally neutral wardrobe!

At the Express cocktail party we got the chance to talk to Amber Venz Box and Baxter Box, the Founders of Rewardstyle. They are truly #goals, and that is a term I never used because of the way I think other adults sound when they say it ;-). Their company has enabled us to build a business and I’m so thankful for that. And yes I’m fully aware my boobs look super weird in this pic, but Sally’s dress was way too cute not to post it!

On The Last Day in the Crescent Court Lobby

On our last afternoon after all was said and done, but before our flight, we sat in the lobby of the hotel and drank a bottle of champagne, courtesy of Sally Steele. We were paid visits by our friend Teggy French and her new baby Lawrence, former Ladies of London star and Blogger Juliet Angus and two model-esque men that were video taping the conference (sorry hun, not that we noticed).

Much to Sally’s dismay I made her catch an Uber to the airport two hours before the flight, which I would classify as totally normal and she would most likely classify as obsessive. An overweight suitcase and a salad situation ensued, but we made it home safely. It was so fun to spend time with Sally, be inspired and hear more about where our industry is headed!
