Hi, I’m Lauren. Creator and editor of BigBlondeHair.com

I started BBH about 9 years ago in hopes that I could fund my pricey hair extension habit— hence the blog name— after seeing an article on a girl who was making a living blogging. I eventually gravitated towards Real Housewives and Reality TV Fashion after seeing that no one was doing extensive coverage of a topic that was highly in demand!

Prior to blogging, my career background in is women’s contemporary apparel wholesale—I was the girl who sold the clothes to the buyers at boutiques and department stores—which was great experience to build on in terms of creating a successful fashion blog.

On a more personal level, I’m a mom to a funny, smart, sports-loving 9-year-old boy named Mark, a fashionable 2-year-old named Valentino and have been married to my Mark husband for 10+ years. Mark is also an entrepreneur who does everything from running a small hedge fund to appearing on major financial networks, and is the person who inspired me to start BBH after he started his own blog about Stock Options.

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit by my two wonderful parents and grandma and have lived in Chicago, and the Chicago area, for the past 10 years. I love the city and to me Chicago is one of the best! It inspires everything from my style to my everyday life. To me, there is really no better place than a big city.

I’m proud to say that over the past 9 years —with the help of my amazing readers who I am so thankful for— I’ve developed Big Blonde Hair into one of the world’s top blogs and have worked with a laundry list of amazing brands! I love my job and it’s also become a great outlet to highlight my personal style and fashion, in addition to celebrity favorites.

xo, Lauren

Faryn Wegler

Staff Writer

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Faryn Wegler is true reality junkie whose Housewives obsession knows no bounds — she loves when you tell her that her celeb lookalike is Kyle Richards, and she once followed Lisa Vanderpump into a high-end jewelry store in Beverly Hills (for real). Having worked in digital marketing for various fashion and beauty companies (including Chanel), writing for Big Blonde Hair is Faryn’s #dreamjob as it allows her to make use of her talents while justifying a rather serious TV addiction. When she’s not writing or watching, she enjoys shopping her favorite finds from BBH, traveling to Bravo-inspired locales and fantasizing about getting into Andy Cohen’s inner circle.

Jess Knottek

Contributing Writer + Research Guru

Jess Knottek is originally from a small town in Illinois and recently moved back to Chicago after spending the past few years in Los Angeles. In LA, when she wasn't working, she spent her free time taking acting and dance classes after being a dancer for 15+ years. While she loved seeing the "Hollywood" lifestyle up close, she ultimately decided to move back to her home state and now gets a little taste from afar working with Big Blonde Hair. As a Research Assistant she helps us find the items we post on, which is a true asset. As a Millennial it's her job to keep us up on trends and social media, in addition to stopping Lauren from getting too much Botox. So far she's enjoying learning the ropes of being an Entrepreneur and continues to be thankful that she decided not to apply for a job at SUR.

Chelsie Shackelford

Contributing Writer

Chelsie currently lives in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and works as a digital media and marketing manager for a higher education institution. When she's not watching Bravo, she loves getting outdoors with her dog, Mandy, reading, investing in real estate, designing and decorating her home, and traveling. Never one to turn down an adventure or new experience, she's putting her passions to good use covering the decor in our fave celebs homes on Big Blonde Hair. Chelsie and Lauren have known each other since they first met at their high school freshman basketball team tryouts. A friendship bloomed and, in non-Real Housewives fashion, they've maintained a great friendship despite at least 1,500 miles always separating them since the year 2000.
