My Style at the 2017 Rewardstyle Conference #RStheCon

I haven’t done any personal style posts as of late—life has gotten busy with the baby and Reality TV content is key, obvi, but I wanted to share my outfits from the 2017 Rewardstyle Conference—aka #RStheCon—because I tried to step outside the box, and most of them were very affordable (aside from one that was a last minute emergency purchase).  For those who don’t know, RStheCon is an invitation only conference hosted by Rewardstyle for 200 of their top bloggers. I don’t get as much recognition as personal style bloggers (weeeep ;-p), so it’s always awesome to be recognized for how hard I’ve worked on Big Blonde Hair! I’m always grateful and honored to be invited and this year was no exception. At the conference we do everything from learning ways to improve our blogs in classroom sessions, to meeting with top brands to attending parties (like lots of them). This year I met some great girls, saw some old faves, and even met some Bravolebs. Here is a look at my outfits and some of the action.

Rooftop Pool Party with Sole Society

The first night of the Rewardstyle conference was a pool party on the Rooftop of the Crescent Hotel. That Dallas heat made it hard to keep my hair in tact, but it was totally a good time! I met so many fun people the first night and it set the tone of the rest of the trip.

Uptown Picnic with Banana Republic & Shake Shack

While I can’t say I’ve seen many bloggers eat a burger (admittedly even mine are generally Turkey), I definitely saw some dig in at the at Banana Republic lunch at Shake Shack. The white, eyelet, ruffle top and skirt I wore were a total departure from my normal style, but ended up being my favorite look of the conference! I met a lot of fun bloggers at this year, but got to dine with two of my new favorites, Angie from Hot and Flashy and Teggy from TeggyFrench.com, in addition to one of my Chicago faves, Janet.

Cocktail Party with Bumble BFF

The second night we had a cocktail party hosted by Bumble BFF (I swear, we did some learning and work in between cocktails). The dress I wore is soooo me, and I loved it. It’s very well made (I like me some thicker fabric these days) and, of course, I’m a sucker for Balmain-inspired statement buttons.

Garden Lunch with Topshop

This lunch happened on my last day and my outfit was nothing short of a miracle. The one I brought to Dallas for that day was tooooo tight (thanks to me thinking I was going to be able to lose the last 15 lbs of baby weight before the Conference without going to the gym like I did when I was 27 #fail) and couldn’t be worn. The prior to this lunch I had made a quick trip to Neimans to find something “Garden Lunch” appropriate and this striped number was what I came up with. However it needed to be altered (aka buttons secured) so NM kept it and I had to have someone from the LIFESAVING “Favor” app pick it up at and deliver it to me minutes before the lunch began because I had classroom sessions and meetings all morning. I feel cap sleeves do not favors for arms that aren’t thin and toned so I have a rule against them, but I do like this dress.

Stephanie Hollman and Lauren Sebastian of BigBlondeHair.com

There were a few Bravolebs at the conference and I had the pleasure of having lunch with Stephanie Hollman of Real Housewives of Dallas who is amazingly kind and sweet. Everyone always asks me my favorite Housewives / who is the nicest and now she’s right up there with Tamra Judge, which is no easy feat. I always hate to make it weird and fan girl when I run into the celebs I cover, and she was sweet enough to ask me if we could get a picture together, which I thought was just so classy! She even offered to have her photographer, Trey—who was also super cool—snap some pics of me below. Check out Stephanie’s blog here, if you haven’t.

Other Bravolebs that I caught up with included Juliet Angus, who’s allllways the life of the party, former Real Housewives of New York cast member Kristen Taekman and former Most Eligible Dallas cast member turned high-powered blogger Courtney Kerr, who taught one of my classroom sessions. It’s always interesting how these world’s have started colliding as fashion-loving Reality Stars have started to realize the platform they have!

The End

I missed the last night—a black tie optional party—to get home to the fam, but at that point I was totally exhausted and okay with my inexpensive American Airlines upgrade, complimentary champs and reading Big Little Lies wrap up what proved to be a successful 2017 Rewardstyle Conference.
