Amanda Batula’s red plaid peplum top is so adorable and the best part are the ties in the back. A great shirt to wear on a Hamptons wine and cheese day out that’s reminiscent of a picnic blanket itself, this is an easy, affordable must have to throw on in the summer heat.

I wasn’t too into the peplum trend a few years back. They got tighter and tighter and the little skirts turned into tutus. I am a big fan of a flowy peplum though, like this one. My mom likes to get really really into things and she just kept a constant supply of peplum tops and dresses coming my way because she found they were flattering on me. Maybe, but I wasn’t quite into it as she was. If you ever tell her you have a favorite candy, be prepared to build an arsenal to stockpile it because she will buy you that candy every time she sees you.
