Are you as excited as I am to shop Balmain x H&M this Thursday, November 5th? I literally do not own other pieces 
from any retailer collaboration with a high end line and am dying over this for 3 reasons:
1) It lis very Balmain—Some are almost exact replicas of items that have been shown in current and past collections, which I’ve also linked to in my picks (take a look at some other current items here). Often times retailer collabo’s don’t hit the mark like this.
2) It’s unlikely I’ll ever be able to afford a collection of real Balmain and it’s my favorite line—They have items retailing for $12,000+ right now on Net-a-Porter.
3) If I order it online and it doesn’t fit, I will be able to sell it (and probably profit) on eBay. Items have leaked and are already selling for well above retail on eBay HERE (Shop Balmain x H&M items here on eBay
). I am betting everything will sell out ASAP, and I for one will turn to eBay if I miss my must haves.
More Details:
The collection is slated to launch online at 8am EST on Thursday, and doors will open at 8am local time to shop in select H&M stores (get the full scoop on how you’ll shop in-store here, full with time and item limits). And while some pieces will run you a pretty penny (although still deeply discounted from Balmain prices), the collection stays true to the Balmain design asthetics and features items as low as around $25.
Tip: If you are looking to invest in a piece that will be timeless-ly Balmain, go with something with the distinct gold buttons, tribal-esque beading, braiding or a black and white stripe. And in my opinion, the jackets and blazers are the hi-light. Here’s a look at my top 10, although I truly don’t think you can go wrong with anything from the collection.
