Lauren Loves: A Chunky Knit Sweater and Leather Pants
Admittedly, at this point, some days I look more pregnant than others. If I eat a big lunch, I look pregnant. If I don’t, the bump can be still be covered by a fave chunky sweater and my go-to leather pants can still be pulled on (with some force), and held in place with the help of Bella Band . It won’t last forever so at this point I’m making the most of it and wearing the winter wardrobe I’ve already invested in.
Speaking of pregnancy, I’ve decided that I’m splitting up my fashion posts and my “Mom Talk“ posts. The response has been so amazing and supportive, that I think that I can have the fashion people read the fashion posts and those who are interested in my take on a pregnancy/parenting topic (See posts so far) read the others. That way there isn’t so much text splitting up the gorgeous imagery that photographer @TekStiles has been helping me out with
That being said, let’s get down to business—chunky business, that is. I feel like I’ve looked at some gorgeous fashion bloggers sporting the chunky sweater trend, so I decided to try it out this winter. I love mine because it’s only $55 and the waffle textured makes it more interesting than your traditional sweater. It’s a great end of the season grab because it’s so cheap, and I can totally see myself wearing it next winter.
In terms of the other aspect of the outfit, you’re all already familiar with my faux leather pant, Rockstuds and over-sized aviator sunglasses obsession, so you know the drill with those. I think this look also pairs up wonderfully with a pair of wedge or edgy ankle boots, so that’s another way to go on a very versatile sweater. Ultimately I’m finding that I’ve been better about building a mix and match winter wardrobe this year, and I’m actually kinda proud of myself for it.
