Savannah Guthrie’s pink lace dress on Today was totally gorgeous. Today there were some pretty funny and interesting segments. First, John Stewart had a fascinating story with some 9/11 survivors who are suffering from the health effects of 9/11 and its aftermath. It was terribly sad but later offset by the super weird segment with the hypnotist.

He had Jenna and several other volunteers do some weird stuff like swim like a goldfish, dance, and pretend to be exotic animals. It seemed like the eight volunteers were into it (or totally faking), whereas Dylan, Al and Jenna were just awkwardly sitting there. One guy even forgot his name! This was in connection with a piece that discussed hypnosis in lieu of anesthesia during surgery, which is honestly terrifying. Either way, seeing the hypnotized folks was entertaining!
