Two months ago, I walked into Akira, one of my favorite Chicago specialty stores to find a fabulous dress, which they never have a shortage of. Akria’s “stylists” aka salespeople are obviously paid a fat commission, because they will often go above and beyond to make suggestions to go with your taste. Jen (I believe was her name) snuck the Citizens of Humanity Angie Superflare (in Moon River) in my room, under the piles of clothing I was already trying on. Two things happened…1-I fell in love with the denim  2- I fell in love with Jen for making the best suggestion anyone had EVER given to me. With their high waist, slight stretch and massive flare (26 inch leg opening for those of you who speak flare), they were like nothing I’d ever seen.

Then I looked at the price tag…$228. Ugh. After working in the fashion industry and getting so many hook ups, I could not bear to pay that much for a pair of jeans. So I left them, as I had many-a-designer jean, a tear in my eye.

Over the passing months, I became even more obsessed with 70s inspired style, unable to get Angie off my mind. I scoured the Internet daily (and nightly) for a deal. And then I decided they were worth full price…Which I don’t say often!

After many, many long days, hours and minutes we are about to re-unite once again. Don’t waste two months like I did. Get yours now.
