Hoda Kotb’s Blue V Neck Sheath Dress

She did her best to bring spring with Hoda Kotb’s blue v neck sheath dress, but there  was no luck. The East Coast was hit with a snow storm that is bound to arrive in Chicago. This dress was also worn by more East Coasters like Cynthia Nixon, and the new household name Karen McDougal during her interview with Anderson Cooper. The color is making us thing of spring though! I have always laughed at the phrase “April showers bring May flowers” because in Chicago it’s like, “April all four seasons, has absolutely no rhyme or reason.”

But what April did bring was Jesus Christ Super Star, with John Legend and Sara Bareilles, who were astonishing. I think they finally figured out the perfect format for live musicals, which is to still make it a live theatre production on stage but make the stage a huge arena and broadcast it. Otherwise, while I loved the shows in the past, they were a little awkward to watch without the sounds and feel of a live audience and with cameras moving. That’s a lot for actors to think about- looking at cameras, keeping up the energy without feedback, perfecting timing for commercial breaks… but this was the best live show yet, in my opinion!
