Dina Manzo and Lauren Sebastian

I had the pleasure of attending Dina Manzo’s 5th Annual Project Ladybug Bash in Chicago and the inside glimpse I got at her charity work was truly inspiring. The night—hosted to raise money for children fighting cancer—was an amazing party for a great cause that I would highly recommend to anyone. And if you think you love Dina on the Real Housewives of New Jersey, her work with Ladybug really shows what an amazing woman she is.

In between checking out amazing silent auction items, sipping champagne and all of the other fun, I had the chance to catch up with Dina—and her fab crop top/printed skirt combo—for a few laughs and to chat about everything from charity to a certain body part you shouldn’t flash at her events. Check out the scoop on her fashion for the night, the status of the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7 and how we can all get more involved in her amazing cause…

BigBlondeHair.com: First things first, who are you wearing?

Dina Manzo: I am wearing Phoebe, which is actually Kay Unger’s contemporary line. A fun fact (is) my daughter actually went to school with Phoebe and her sister and we know them personally, so I’m always proud to wear (the line). Both pieces are from Neiman Marcus .

Shoes and earrings? Christian Louboutin shoes and Thad Cline Earrings, that you can get on his website (here).

What are your rules for dressing for a charity event, like the Ladybug Bash?

You have to keep in mind it’s for a children’s charity. I mean even I show a little boob at these things, but maybe keep your vagina covered.

Is that on the record?

Yes (laughter).

What are your favorite places to shop for dresses for formal events like this?

You know, my go-to is always Neiman Marcus because it’s convenient. And Bergdorf’s, they just have a wide variety.

And any scoop on the return on The Real Housewives of New Jersey?

We have no idea what’s going on. I think they are just trying to give it a fresh face, and they aren’t sure exactly what to do with Teresa (Giudice). They’re going to take their time figuring it out, which is the right thing to do. I know Andy doesn’t want to let it go—that we know for sure— and they’ll just try to revamp it.  All I know is I’m not calling them and if they call me we’ll talk about it then, but I think they know where I stand.
