If you love sequins, feather and all around sexiness for a steal, you need to check out the amazing pieces I recently modeled for T+J Designs, the site to stalk if you love affordable—and original—bling. This shoot was totally fun, filled with fashion energy and fab women! It was so nice working with the stylish Jenn Worman, another Chicago-based blogger from RedSolesAndRedWine.com, in addition to other amazing women!
Anything but basic, these pieces are perfect for any special occasion, whether you are a bride, bridesmaid or just want to glam it up for lunch with the girls! Check out the photos and the scoop on why these pieces are “Lauren Loves” worthy in today’s post.
The Crystal Hair Feather & Fishtail Braid
I love these crystal hair accessories because they are gorge and affordable (under $50). I recently helped a friend who is a bride shop for very similar pieces and most looked identical and were $150+ and went up to $1000+. Hair accessories are totally on-trend for weddings this season, and these are amazing.
Our hair is styled by Amanda of Blohaute, the queen of braids and beautiful blowouts. Blohaute is the app that brings top hair stylists to your front door, get the scoop on my new obsession here.
A Black Feather Skirt
I love these feather maxi skirts because it’s a totally unexpected look to wear to an event. When you show up in a piece like this, everyone’s head turns and they know you are a true fashion girl.
A Sequin Maxi Skirt
A full sequin maxi skirt? Yes please! I can think of a million ways to wear this and look totally glam. I love it because in my 30’s rocking a sequin mini can look too young for me (Disclaimer: Unless I am in Vegas, where nothing is too blinged out or too short), but I still love some sequins! I’m also obsessed with the other women’s skirts in this shot, also available at T+J Designs!
What is not to love about this little blinged-out bow, or Jenn’s hair piece for that matter? Both are totally different, yet so on point. I see both as perfect for a bride, and mine to add feminine style to any special occasion.

After about 5 years of stalking celebrity fashion, I’ve only shown you a small fraction of my rather large closet and fashion knowledge. That being said, I’ve decided to dive in to a new “Lauren Loves” feature on BigBlondeHair.com. Every Wednesday (and maybe more), you can expect a new outfit post of my finds inspired by celebrities as well as my own taste. I’ll feature everything from Saint Laurent to Forever 21 and tell you why I love it all. I own it all, so please feel free to comment with questions about sizing, retailers, styling or anything else.
