Zara black quilted chain strap backpack

I’ve been asked to do a piece on my must have Fall 2015 fashion trends, and while I’m still working on that, a recent shopping trip and back-to-school fashion inspired me to focus in on one—the grown up backpack. It’s a fun, easy way to haul your finds, hands free (as a mom this can be a lifesaver). While I may have never gotten my hands on the impossible to find Chanel Grafiti backpack in 2014, I made the decision to give the GPB a go this year when I continued to run into styles I love.

While I was about to pull the trigger on a Stella McCartney (which I was sure was going to go out of style last season, and although I loved it, I didn’t buy it), I stumbled across a piece at Zara that was a bit more cost effective (like $1245 more cost effective) and surprisingly high quality, and scooped that one up. While I love the Falabella, on my budget I tend to stick to what I consider timeless pieces that I will wear a lot when bag shopping like a clutch or shoulder bag, but that doesn’t mean I’ll settle for cheap looking.  This Zara piece is a cool alternative with soft, faux leather and the perfect chain strap. I highly recommend it, along with the other pieces that caught my eye over my quest for that perfect backpack.  You may not be going back to school, but you’ll definitely be the coolest over-sized kid with these fab finds.

After about 5 years of covering celebrity fashion, I’ve only shown you a small fraction of my rather large closet and fashion knowledge. That being said, I’ve decided to dive in to a new “Lauren Loves” features on BigBlondeHair.com. I’ll focus on my outfits, reviews, and Chicago favorites and events.
