Recently I moved the offices of BigBlondeHair.com from my home to a space in Chicago and am super excited about the move! Do you know what else I’m excited about? My two adorable and fashionable Big Blonde Interns, (Disclaimer: Neither big nor are both blonde, but what better name was there?!) Mayme and Kathryn, that are helping me out this summer. Throughout the upcoming months we’ll be giving you their take of their fashion faves starting with some of their top Summer 2015 picks below. I think it’s an amazing way to get a fresh perspective on trends from different view points, and I’ll be helping them create their own blogs this summer, so stay tuned for more! Big Blonde Interns Summer 2015 Style Picks

Hey all! Greetings from Chicago, my name is Kathryn and I’m one of two Big Blonde Intern’s for the summer. I’m going to be a senior in college pursuing a degree in business marketing. I’m super passionate about style and my dream is to work in fashion marketing. My style, as you’ll get to know in the next two months, sways from sassy and chic to rocker and edgy. Two of my favorite fashionista’s are Cara Delevingne and Nicole Ritchie.
I chose my pieces for this weeks style post based on the current trend of the color blush. I also incorporated a simple strappy sandal, perfect for summer, floral to keep things fresh and a long tunic tee which makes being fashion forward easier then ever.

Kentucky to Chicago—That’s my summer! I attend the University of Kentucky and study fashion merchandising with a minor in business. Currently, I am living in downtown Chicago and working in a clothing showroom called Outfit Chicago and to shadow Lauren and learn from her about the blogging industry. Fashion has always been a passion of mine ever since I was working in a small boutique in high school. I knew that if I was serious about furthering my career I would need to move to a big city. Chicago is the ideal place for that vision, and in finding an internship here my summer goal is being achieved. This chance is a once in a million opportunity and I am thrilled to use it to the fullest!
The collection I have put together is a reflection of my personal style. I lean towards a relaxed urban look with the use of earth tones and patterns. I look for staple pieces, like a denim shirt or tan shoe, that can be versatile with multiple outfits. I add a pop of color or a pattern with the staple pieces to make the outfits stand out. When it comes to accessories I gravitate to simple items, so I used the delicate bar necklace and a solid leather bag. My celeb style icons Nikki Reed and Sophia Bush.
